I am a creative at Zeus Jones, where I make a living with my copywriting skillz. Art and design are my hobbies - I'm still just a wannabe. My other dayjobs have included being a photographer at a crappy photo studio, a barista at Starbucks and the A&E editor at The Minnesota Daily.
I was raised in a lapsed Catholic family that was mostly religious in its consumption of pop culture. I want to learn 7 languages in my life. I'm not sure what my other goals are. When I am rich, I plan to spend my fortune buying apartments for my mistresses.
Here's what I think about art:
-Art should be affordable and, if possible, reproducible.
-Art should not be about intellectual intimidation. People shouldn't like it just because they're afraid to admit they don't "get it." The artist statement should not be vastly more interesting than the piece. If so, be a writer!
-Commercial art is art too, and we should appreciate gig posters and advertising design.
